Coatesville — Police are looking for two men on Friday night in connection with the deadly shooting of a 40-year-old man in Coatesville.
At around 9:07 pm, Coatesville police responded to reports of gunshots on Fifth Street and Lincoln Highway. At the scene, police found a 40-year-old man shot in the waist. As soon as the site was considered safe and began caring for the patient, the fire brigade arrived with the EMS from Coatesville and the soon-to-be-relocated Tower Health Medic unit. The victim was immediately taken to Paoli Hospital, where he underwent surgery. He died shortly after.
Witnesses reported that two black men in hoodies approached the victim and his cousin and caused a verbal dispute. One of the men showed his gun and said to the victim, “I’m tied up.” The debate continued, and the man with the gun fired two ammunition. The two men then ran away.
Police recovered two shell casings and one projectile at the scene. Police are checking the surveillance footage and visiting the area.
Police officers closed the Lincoln Highway between Fifth Avenue and 6th Avenue for several hours while investigating the shooting. Crime scene markers were probably found on the sidewalk marking the casing of the bullet.Clothing can be Ars

“This is another pointless tragedy,” said Chester County District Attorney Fat Ryan. “If the general public has information about this incident, please contact the police immediately.”
Coatesville police and Chester County detectives work 24 hours a day to find and bring these suspects to justice. “
