San Diego (AP) — San Diego police kill a woman and her two-year-old son on Saturday after falling from the third level of Petco Park, just as thousands of baseball fans are heading to the Padres game. I’m investigating. Reported by San Diego Union-Tribune..
Lieutenant Andorra Brown told newspapers that a woman, 40, and a boy had died at 4:11 pm, about 20 minutes after police were warned about the incident.
According to Brown, the pair fell from the concourse on the third floor (equivalent to six stories) to the sidewalk under Tony Gwynn Drive.
Their names were not disclosed. Both lived in San Diego. Lieutenant Adam T. Sharki said the mother and child were in a concourse-level restaurant / stand before the fall. According to police, the child’s father was at the stadium when he died.
Police told Union Tribune that it was too early to know if the fall was accidental or intentional, but the victim’s death “looked suspicious.”
According to Brown, investigators understand that there could have been many people in the concourse area who might have more information, which could potentially be “somewhat in the family.” It could “give peace.”
