Pittsburgh’s organization sending stuffed animals to children in Yuvalde, Texas

Pittsburgh (KDKA) —Recovery work is underway as the community is looking forward to the next mass shooting after the shootings in Yuwalde, Texas.

The Jewish Community Center in Greater Pittsburgh said it was responding to subpoenas seeking help. To show support for Yuvalde, we collect stuffed animals and send them to Texas to provide children with the long-awaited comfort.

The Center and the 10.27 Healing Partnership are working together for the “Build a Hug” drive. It aims to soothe the hearts of all the children and survivors inside Rob Elementary School during the deadly shooting that killed 21 people.

The partnership will connect with another community center in Yuvalde, where the item will be directed to one of the programs that will help children overcome trauma and illness.

“I knew this was a marathon, so I wanted to get a stuffed animal for my kids,” said Rabbi Ron Simmons of the JCC Affection Center. “We know that we have a lot of compassion we need to give them and a lot of comfort they need.”

The drive will run until June 3rd.click Here For many.
