Pittsburgh Steelers: TJ Watt to join Madden NFL23’s “99 Club”

Pittsburgh (KDKA)-Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker TJ Watt will add another impressive award to his resume if a recent leak is believed.

Watt will join five other players, including Pittsburgh’s own Aaron Donald, as a member of the prestigious “99 Club” of Madden NFL 23, the latest soccer video game. The potential inclusion of Watt means he has the highest overall rating in the game.

This honor is not groundless for Watt, who won the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year at the NFL Honors Ceremony in February. Wisconsin natives received 42 of the 50 media panel votes.

Watt’s 22.5 Sack has set the record for Michael Strahan, the most in NFL history, since the Sack record began in 1982. The Steelers linebacker claimed to have won 22.5 sack in just 15 regular season games. According to the Pro-Football Reference, Watt has also accumulated 64 tackles, 21 tackles, 39 QB hits, 5 forced fumbles, 3 fumble recovery and 7 pass defenses.

Watt has joined Joe Greene, Mel Blount, Jack Lambert, Rod Woodson, James Harrison, Troy Polamalu and others to become the seventh DPOY award-winning Steelers player.

When Madden NFL23 hits the shelf on August 19, 2022, you can play as a companion to Watt and Steelers.
