Peter’s Township’s father was charged with murder after telling police that he had tripped over a grocery bag and fell to a toddler.

Peters Township (KDKA)-Washington County’s father has been charged with the death of his young son.

According to criminal accusations, Peters Township police responded to Jordan Clark’s house in Peter’s Township’s Pleasant View Drive on May 23 with reports of a non-breathing baby.

When they arrived, the baby’s father, Clark, told officers that he had caught his foot in a plastic shopping bag while trying to make a bottle and fell with his child in his arm.

According to criminal accusations, Clark’s father and sister, who live in the same house, said he did not see Clark fall to his baby.

The baby was taken to UPMC Children’s Hospital, but died of injury the next day.

Doctors told investigators that the baby’s injury was “seriously concerned about physical abuse.”

“This series of injuries is inconsistent with the provided history that the child’s father fell to him from a standing height,” said a doctor’s report.

According to criminal accusations, the baby suffered from injuries to both sides of the brain, bleeding in both eyes, and possible fractures in both legs.

Police have submitted a list of accusations against Clark, including criminal murder, exacerbation of assault, and child risk.
