Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – A state trooper serving in western Pennsylvania has been suspended without pay after being arrested for DUI while on duty.
Austin Barney was under the influence of alcohol during his shift on Sunday, November 27, state officials said.
Investigators say he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving in a lane with a lane, and driving on the right side of the road.
Bernie has been on patrol since February 2021. He works for Troop C, covering McKean, Forrest, Elk, Clarion, Jefferson, and Clearfield counties, as well as towns such as West Mahoning, North Mahoning, Canoe, and Banks.
He remains suspended pending the outcome of the lawsuit.
