eyewitness news (WBRE/WYOU) — Pennsylvania police say they investigated more than 600 crashes over the Christmas holiday weekend that killed seven people and made more than 100 arrests for drunk driving.
Police said alcohol was a factor in 36 accidents, including two fatalities.
Police said they arrested 116 people for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs over the three-day New Year’s holiday weekend, December 23-25.
Officers also issued more than 451 fines for speeding, 110 for not wearing a seatbelt and 11 for failing to secure a child in a safe seat.
