No published findings for the $12,000 Bethlehem Area School District Personnel Survey

After more than three months, an independent personnel survey in the Bethlehem Area School District was completed, but the results of the survey have not been released to the public.

At the district’s school board meeting Monday, board chairman Michael Fascinett said an investigation led by former Northampton County Judge Emil Giordano was complete. Hired in the District in November Investigate “suspicious cases” for $495 an hour.

“The board has reviewed the findings of the investigation and now considers this investigation to be closed,” Fascinet said at a meeting Monday. “This is a private matter and will not be shared with others.”

The board also approved monthly bill payments on Mondays. This includes his $12,087 paid to Norris McLaughlin, the Allentown law firm where Giordano practices.

“In any personnel matter, any employee, from bottom to top, regardless of the conclusion or whatever happens, has the right to privacy,” he said in December.

Fascinet did not confirm or deny whether Giordano was hired to investigate Overseers in December. As a result, it is not clear if there are any ongoing personnel investigations into incidents suspected of involving Roy.

Roy released a statement to Wake Up Call on November 6, saying he refuted the allegations against him and would not be commenting further.

Wake Up Call first received reports of an incident involving Roy and a district employee in late October, but was unable to confirm any details.

A wake-up call reached out to Fascinet and Roy late Monday night for comment.
