Rock smashes through vehicle’s windshield

WGAL has obtained photos of a vehicle that was hit by a rock tossed from an I-83 overpass in York County.Pennsylvania State Police shared the photos, one showing a smashed windshield and the other showing the rock on the passenger seat. You can see those in the video player above.Where and when it happenedThe rock was thrown from the Reeser’s Summit overpass in Fairview Township, York County, on Saturday around 12:15 a.m.”This vehicle was traveling southbound at the time, when a “softball” sized rock entered through their front windshield, nearly striking the victim,” PSP said in a statement.Police said they reviewed cameras from the area and two males were seen walking away from the area.Police also said similar incidents happened around the same time frame on Oct. 8 and Oct. 6.If you have any information that could help the police, you can call the Pennsylvania State Police Troop, York Barracks, at 717-428-1011.Below: See the overpass where the rock was thrown from.
