Little Black, Wisconsin (AP) —In north-central Wisconsin, officials said nine people were injured when a vehicle collided with an Amish buggy at “highway speed.”
The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that the crash was reported in the town of Little Black around 2:45 pm on Wednesday. Ten people were in the buggy when it was heading north on the county road.
Eight of the nine injured were “seriously injured” and were transferred for medical purposes, according to the announcement. Their condition is unknown.
According to authorities, the 35-year-old driver of the vehicle has been detained in Taylor County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence of regulated substances and inadvertent driving.
