Nick Cave Requests New Collaboration Movie Fan Video | Music

Nick Cave has requested a phone call for fans of the new collaboration movie.

Foresighted artists are looking for short clips (within 2 minutes) that cover a wide range of themes, from “mercy and anger” to “revelation and glory.”

The press release states: “A low-budget, ambitious idea, Nick wants you to stitch together the footage of the phone. A short clip (less than two minutes, preferably less) makes some sense to you. Video Selfie Portrait , Natural miracle, natural disaster, sacred and disrespectful, it could be a picture of a loved one, a video you shot in protest, or something ordinary you think is beautiful.

“Themes can be mercy, anger, splendor, sadness, loneliness, longing, revelation, and glory.”

The overall work is intended to be “a kind of spiritual portrait of the world at the moment”.

This movie comes with Nick’s “Seven Psalms” collection. This collection is available in limited edition 10-inch records and streaming services.

The project consisted of seven spoken words to the music and a 12-minute instrumental, all recorded during the session of Nick and Warren Ellis’ 2021 album “Carnage”.

Nick, 64, said: “While being blocked, I wrote several psalms, a small sacred song, one song a week, gender and praise. An obscured meditative born of an uncertain era. Offering. I hope you like it. “

It marked the first full-length release of Grinderman with longtime collaborators of Nick Cave and Bad Seeds as a duo.

This pair is known for their work in film music and provides scores for both film and stage productions.
