VILLANOVA — The University of Notre Dame is excited to announce that 10 members of the 2022 class have been approved by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
Notre Dame seniors Kylie Culvert, Claire Chaplin, Olivia Fries, Brooke Hussar, Kelly McGrin, Abigail Raleigh, Page Shelton, Samantha Smoot, Natalie Stuart, Andrea Watt become National Merit Scholarship Students It was chosen.
Students were selected based on their 2020 Preliminary SAT / National Merit Scholarship Qualification Exam (PSAT / NMSQT) scores. Over 1 million juniors complete the PSAT / NMSQT each year and automatically participate in the National Merit Scholarship Program. These award-winning students are recognized for their extraordinary academic commitment.
Approximately 16,000 people will move forward to become semi-finalists, and approximately 34,000 will be commended. Awarded students represent the top 5 percent of high school seniors across the country.
