Suspected thief jumps from second floor of Willow Grove Mall in Pennsylvania – NBC10 Philadelphia

The video shows the moment a man police say stole merchandise from a store jumped from the second floor and crashed to the floor of the Willow Grove mall.

The ordeal took place on April 13th at the Willow Grove Mall in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.

Police said Abdi Wasge of Tempe, Arizona stole it from an Apple store on the second floor of the mall. When approaching him, Wasuge allegedly hinted that he had a gun, which he threatened to use.

Police said Wasuge fled the store and jumped from the second floor to the first floor. The video shows Wasuge landing hard on the floor and struggling to get up.

Abington police arrived on the scene and alerted the doctors. Wasuge was taken to hospital and treated for his injuries. He was released from hospital on Friday and was taken into police custody.

Investigators determined Wasuge did not possess a firearm despite the alleged threats. He is charged with robbery and other related crimes.
