Mercer County Rep. Tim Bonner Joins DA Impeachment Committee

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WKBN) – Mercer County representatives join the impeachment committee against Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner.

The Speaker of the House must appoint a three-member committee, two from the majority party and one from the minority party. Locally, its members are Rupiah. Tim Bonner, R-Mercer/Butler.

The other two representatives are Rep. Craig Williams (R-D./Chester) and Rep. Jared Solomon (D-Philadelphia).

Members of the committee present articles of impeachment to the Senate and manage trials on behalf of the House of Representatives.

Removal requires a two-thirds majority vote of the state Senate.

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives voted 107 to 85 to impeach Krasner, accusing him of implementing policies and mismanaging public office for being “willfully ineffective in combating crime and violence.” .
