Lansdale / Blue Bell / Pottstown — Explore the ends of the universe, kick victorious soccer goals, play beautiful music, cook delicious food in the kitchen, and more, Campers will enjoy this summer at Montgomery County Community College.

Janet’s Planet STEAM Astronaut Academy Science Camp visits the brand new Challenger Learning Center on MCCC’s Pottstown Campus, and the Montgomery County Community College’s Culinary Art Twin Institute is back with new ideas to return your favorites. There are 10 new camps this summer, including. (CAI) Baking and cooking camps, and new camps like the Philadelphia Union Soccer Camp and Summer String Camp.

Also this year, Amazing Arts Race Camp, 76ers Basketball Camp, Phillies Baseball Academy, Future Stars Day Camp and H2YO are back! Summer camp.

Here are some previews of new and exciting opportunities for motorhomes this summer.

Janet’s Planet STEAM Astronaut Academy

To everything in space and science at our face-to-face Janet Planetary Astronaut Academy, a camp that creates an unprecedented engagement between Janet Ivy and her team of educators and professionals. Blow away your lifelong love and launch. Every day, new missions and new expert guests come from the scientific community. Astronaut challenges, scientific experiments, and hands-on experience increase student confidence in Tier STEAM’s abilities.

The camp is open to children ages 8-14 (or entering grades 3-8 in the fall) and is located on the Pottstown Campus at College Drive 140 in Pottstown and at 340 Decalbu Pike in Bluebell on July 18-22. It will be offered at the Bluebell Campus. , July 25-29, 9 am-4:30pm Drop-off is 8:45 am-9am, Pickup is 4:30pm-4:45pm. See the landing page for directions.

New features in this year’s camp include a visit to the Challenger Learning Center on MCCC’s Pottstown campus. Campers will participate in the Lunar Quest mission to the Moon, said Annalize Giuliani, Program Manager at the Challenger Learning Center, and Anjuli Aker, Program Coordinator at the Challenger Learning Center.

“They skip missions to the moon and learn to live there for a long time,” Giuliani said. “The camper will focus on NASA’s Artemis program, which will eventually prepare the Lunar Gateway for astronauts to land on Mars.”

Janet’s Planet Camper and his family will be invited to a Star Party at MCCC’s Bluebell Campus to view the night sky from the University Observatory with members of a local astronomy club. A free shuttle service for Pottstown campers and her family is provided to and from the Bluebell Campus.

Baking summer camp for junior chefs

The Baking Summer Camp for Junior Chefs provides children with the opportunity to experience the art of baking and pastry while learning from CAI’s experienced chef instructors in Landsdale. Enroll your camper van in a one-week program to learn the basics of baking and improve your kitchen skills while making delicious pies, cakes and cookies.

“We are very happy and excited to be able to revive these camps,” said chef Can Uslu. “Campers are there to have a good time, make new friends and learn the skills they have for a lifetime.”

The camp is for students aged 10-14 and will be held from 20th to 24th July. Wednesday to Saturday from 9am to 4pm. Sunday 9 am to 1 pm and July 25 to 29: Monday to Thursday 9 am to 4 pm.Friday, 9am to 1pm

Cooking summer camp for junior chefs

Cooking Summer Camp for Junior Chefs is a hands-on cooking experience that covers many ingredients and techniques from local and world culinary, with a focus on clean and healthy eating. Motorhomes make delicious dishes from around the world, including healthy snacks, fun appetizers, primopiats and desserts. Enroll your child in an exciting week-long summer camp to learn basic cooking skills from CAI’s experienced chef instructors.

The camp is for campers aged 10-14 and will be held Monday-Thursday, July 25-29, from 9am to 4pm.Friday, 9am to 1pm

Uslu said that in addition to cooking, there are plenty of breaks to carry out arts and crafts projects, and a long relaxing lunch break with student-prepared food.

“Campers are self-sufficient in the kitchen, can feed friends and family, and of course, can make simple and delicious food,” says Uslu.

Philadelphia Union Youth Soccer Camp

The Philadelphia Union Youth Training Program is proud to offer a summer camp at MCCC for great camping experiences, additional training outside the club schedule, and players who want to be part of the Philadelphia Union family.

The camp is intended for students ages 6-14 and will be held on June 20-23 at the Bluebell Campus from 9am to noon.

This unique camp is designed to enhance individual skill levels, have fun elements, and bring together players from different football organizations to play beautiful games.

Philadelphia Union is dedicated to developing a love for the game through a cost-effective program that captures the hearts of the family and creates a lifelong union fan.

What’s more, this unique summer camp experience will undoubtedly enjoy the atmosphere and passion of the best Philadelphia Union football fans in the country, watching heroes play by participating in union games for free to all participants. Provide an opportunity.

“We are excited to start a partnership with Union,” said Kelly Dunbar, director of athletics and campus recreation. “We look forward to increasing the opportunities for youth sports in the community and expanding our partnership with Union in the future.”

Summer string camp

School is summer vacation, but that doesn’t mean you need to put a stringed instrument! The Summer String Camp is a one-week camp for students in grades 6-10 during the 2022-23 academic year. Campers work on string skills and techniques while learning new and exciting music. During the week, campers also engage in activities to teach and enhance auditory and written music theory skills.

The camp will be held from July 11th to 15th at the Science Center on the Bluebell Campus from 7:45 am to noon.

Throughout the week, students will rehearse the string orchestra together as an entire ensemble. At the end of the camp, students will have a final performance on Friday, July 15th at 11:00 am to showcase the progress of camper vans for family and friends.

Sean Lee, the music instructor who runs this year’s camp, said: “This camp is midsummer, which allows us to refocus, reset, expand our skills and have a good time doing it.”
