Starting July 20th (Tuesday), the Northside Museum will hold six one-day workshops for second-year, third-year, and fourth-year high school students. The workshops are taught by selected artists representing a wide range of interests, from music and botanical illustrations to culinary arts.

Mattress Factory’s teen program coordinator, Matty Cannon, said that the museum’s “teaching mantra” when choosing a workshop is “diversity (creative practice), diversity (background), diversity (how people do). He said he could be involved, that is, face-to-face or virtual). ”

“We posted a public offering to artists who are excited to share aspects of their practice with teens through Mattress Factory,” says Cannon.
