Man traveled across the country to sleep with Altoona teen, police say

A 40-year-old California man has been charged with traveling across the country to sleep with a 14-year-old, according to Altoona, Pennsylvania (WTAJ) police.

Don Robison, 40, of Milpitas, Calif., was arrested, charged, and arraigned on March 13 in Altoona on charges of traveling across the country to sleep with a 14-year-old. Megan’s Law website in California denied bail for registered sex offender.

According to a criminal complaint filed in a local court, Robison allegedly groomed a teenager in Altoona in December 2021 by pretending to be 13 on social media, namely the Roblox game/app and Pinterest. It has been.

Altoona police turned the case over to the Attorney General’s office, which could have used more resources to investigate Robison, a man known only as “Johnny Smith.”

In 2022, a teenage girl admitted to turning off a family-installed security camera and allowing Robison to sneak into her home through a window. He allegedly slept with the teen overnight in bed and caressed her breasts.

Robison was indicted in January and ultimately arraigned in Pennsylvania on March 13, according to court documents. His bail was denied.
