Canton, Ohio (AP) — Lynyrd Skynyrd withdrew from the Pro Football Hall of Fame concert after guitarist Ricky Medlock tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the band’s statement, the country rock band was scheduled to headline a concert with Brad Paisley on Monday night, but Medrock’s positive tests forced the group to withdraw.
“Ricky is resting at home and responding well to treatment,” the statement said.
Jimmie Allen, the opening act, expanded his setlist to open the show. He will perform a duet with Paisley on his current hit “Freedom Wasa Highway”.
The band also interrupted the show in Jackson, Mississippi. Atlanta; In Cullman, Alabama, the show in Atlanta on August 13 was rescheduled on October 23.
