[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Married at First Sight, Season 13, Episode 13, “Tears, Jeers, and 25 Cent Martinis.”]
The day of the decision is approaching love at first sightExpert advice is needed for the 13 seasons and the looming moments.
In this week’s article, Tears, Jeers, and 25 Cent Martinis, the pair will meet with show-related experts Rev. Carlo Berson and Dr. Pepper Schwartz to help them come up with useful ways to connect with their spouse. Will they be advised or will they remain closed? I’ve disassembled everything below, but be aware of the main spoilers above.
Couples have more than half of their experience at the show, and frustration is beginning to surface, especially when it comes to pet pee. Zack calls for Mikaela’s excessive phone use while Ryan struggles to keep annoyed by Brett’s cluttered methods. And at a meeting between Johnny and Ryan, the men discuss their struggle over the pool game. Johnny feels that Bao is finally making the effort he expected, but Ryan struggles to hide his lack of enthusiasm for Brett. Still, it doesn’t seem to affect his level of effort to deepen the bond with her.
Later, Johnny discussed things with Bao in their apartment and stated that he needed better trust and communication to feel safe. This lack of security also means a decrease in their intimacy. Needless to say, these two are on very different pages when he stood up to leave the room.
Gil first appeared in a one-on-one conversation with Rev. Kal, who finally brought up the fact that he shared his first kiss with Mara. And, despite the positive aspects of his relationship with her, Gil sometimes has some hesitation regarding her level of negativity. Rev. Kal suggests brooching this topic with Mara after the session to see what she can do to improve the less admired traits. Meanwhile, Mara appears at another level to meet Dr. Pepper after returning from a party with a friend who was drinking “25 cent martini.” During the chat, Mara emotionally explains how happy Gil is and what his marriage photo is so he can help Mara reassure him about their relationship. It is advisable to ask.
Mikaela meets Rev. Kal, who asks if her anxiety is heading for the day of the decision. According to her, the only concern surrounds the idea that they still know each other. Zack is having a hard time chatting with Dr. Pepper. Because he is torn between the concern that he is a perfect husband and finding the balance of happiness he is really looking for. Dr. Pepper is trying to reassure him that he and Mikaela can only continue to build on the foundations they have built.
Johnny is insensitive during a session with Dr. Pepper, and Bao says he is not the person he portrays himself. She suggests that he is unfair and is considering better ways of communicating to avoid an outburst of anger. On the other hand, a chat with Rev. Cal of Bao gets darker as she reveals how closed she feels in her marriage. He recommends asking her husband if she is ready to get married first.
As for Brett, she feels like Ryan isn’t trying and is angry that he’s not open and shows no intimacy with her. Rev. Kal suggests asking her when Ryan gives up her marriage as a means of inducing a deeper conversation. Ryan attends a meeting with Dr. Pepper in hopes of denial due to lack of enthusiasm. Despite his shortcomings, Brett can’t be the mind leader of the situation lurking in his skin, so she advises him to be more honest.
Jose and Rachel have a fairly productive session with him starting things during a meeting with Dr. Pepper. When it comes to marriage, Jose wants to find a balance between independence and offering his wife, as he continues to draw careful lines in their relationships. She admits he has control and listens to his fears of Rachel leaving. Rachel, meanwhile, admits that she and Jose are doing well now, but she’s worried about future battles. Rev. Kal hears her temper and proposes that Rachel calmly discuss these issues with Jose.
After a one-on-one session, the couple will meet again to discuss the findings. Mara and Gil talk about her negative attitude, admit that she can work on it so as not to affect his mood, and leave things in a positive note. Zack and Mikaela discuss what the pictures of the marriage with the existence of his family and the existence of her partner are, can they engage them?
Bao and Johnny appreciate what they heard during the session with the experts. She doesn’t feel good about where they are, but Johnny apologizes for some of the annoyances he said during the marriage. In terms of moving forward, she worries that he may show a pattern of leaving and feels she deserves to get better. He brings up their past chemistry deficiencies and does not convince him of how they move forward.
During the catch-up between Ryan and Brett, he admits he wasn’t completely honest about his feelings and must admit that she feels pretty desperate about the situation. Meanwhile, Rachel asks Jose about the triggers he may have to avoid a fight that would have locked her out of the apartment earlier this season. Jose acknowledges that he may need some time to calm down before discussing, and wants to be able to resist the urge to leave the situation he is not satisfied with and solve the problem.
Everyone gathers in a sand volleyball group game where Bao gets energized when he wears a cheerleader uniform. But as long as the participants start talking in groups, the fun and the game won’t last long. While Bao, Mara and Brett are talking about a recent therapy session, Brett says he feels Ryan isn’t giving her a fair chance. On the other hand, he tells some guys a similar story, but feels he’s not completely responsible. Meanwhile, Johnny tells Gil and Zack that he wasn’t happy with Bao for a while and calls her a boy.
Lost in Translation?
In the self-shot segment, Mikaela and Zack share up-to-date information about their current feud after discussing the day of the decision. After each saying that they might say no if the day of the decision is now, Mikaela sees this as a sign of what’s to come and proposes to sleep in separate rooms. Zack doesn’t understand the concept, but will leave to cool their temper. The next morning, when he wakes up to the text to find out that Mikaela has completely moved out of their shared apartment, Zack laments the situation in a virtual conversation with his brother. Is it possible to repair a broken relationship?
It seems that Zack and Mikaela aren’t the only ones as Brett meets Ryan’s sister Alexa for advice. Alexa tells Brett that Ryan may think of others after writing to Alexa about his lack of connection with Ryan. Does she disagree with these claims?Only the time is known, so don’t miss it love at first sight About life.
