Local hospitals are launching scholarship programs for students entering the medical field to learn more about being a doctor.

Fontaine Glen lived more in the UPMC Hamot.

UPMC Hamot’s new scholarship program is beginning to end after a four-week virtual seminar and group discussion.

To talk more about what the students have learned, Fontaine has joined one of the doctor’s instructors, Dr. David Hatzel.

In the last 30 minutes, Fontaine talks to the Vice President of Operations, who rolled the ball to start the program.

UPMC Hamot’s new scholarship program has attracted 10 junior and senior students from four different counties in Pennsylvania and New York.

It is Lynn Rupp, Vice President of Operations at Hamot, who will join Fontaine to discuss the program and why it was launched.

The 10 students will announce the final project starting next Monday on the research conducted throughout the program.
