Phantoms, Arson shut out Bridgeport, 3-0

Elliott DeNoyers scored twice and Sam Arson earned his first shutout in the American Hockey League on Saturday night as the Lehigh Valley Phantoms won 3-0 in a 3-0 win over Bridgeport at the PPL Center.

Artem Anisimov also scored for the Phantoms. The Phantoms tied the team record by limiting the Islanders to just 15 shots overall.

Ersson stopped them across the board, earning their second shutout in just over a month. He previously recorded a shutout with the Philadelphia Flyers when he played against the Buffaloes on January 9 against his Sabers.

It’s the second time this season that the Phantoms have limited the team’s shot count to 15. The first was against Rochester on November 26th. Bridgeport had 10 shots in the opening period, but only five in his final 40 minutes.

The Lehigh Valley (24-17-5) are also on a three-game winning streak, winning 4 of their 5 games and going 8-3-0 in their last 11 games.
