Temperatures will be in the high 30s to low 30s this morning. Then the Arctic front moves in the morning, and even rain turns to snow. Snow showers can make roads slippery and icy. As a result, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for all of central Pennsylvania through 2pm today. The temperature drops sharply. A strong wind advisory has been issued for Elk, Cameron, Northern Centre, Clearfield, Blair, Bedford, Cumbria and Somerset counties through 6am Saturday. A storm advisory is in effect for Jefferson County through 7:00 AM Saturday morning. By tonight, temperatures will drop into the single digits.

Christmas Eve will be windy and snowy. Mainly in our western counties. High temperatures are only in the single digits from under adolescence. Saturday’s winds will also pick up from the west at 15 to 20 mph. High temperatures will be in the high single digits to low teens. Christmas Eve night temperatures drop to the low single digits. On Christmas Day there can be early and prolonged gusts of wind. Otherwise there will be a mix of clouds and sunshine. High temperatures for Christmas will be in the teens.
