West Chester — Guy Sialokki, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Chester County Chamber of Commerce, is on leave to run for the Governor of Pennsylvania.
Ciarrocchi is a Republican living in Paoli and has led the Chamber of Commerce for the past eight years.
“Tom Wolfe’s solution (for a pandemic) has killed much of our business,” said Ciarrocchi. “It’s clear that Harrisburg and Washington forces don’t care about local businesses, their employees, or their families. Instead, they’re much more worried about accepting radical leftists. They Shattered small businesses, hurt our students, burned our city. I’m not silent in the fight for our freedom. It’s time to have a leader who puts people first. I did. “
56-year-old Ciarrocchi has joined the crowded territory of Republicans such as former US Attorney Bill McSwain, former US Senator Lou Barletta, and State Senator Doug Mastriano, Scott Martin, and Dan Laughlin.
Democratic Governor Tom Wolf cannot seek re-election next year in the second term.
“Our board is proud of Guy’s work while serving as CEO. In addition, much about Guy and the work of our Chamber of Commerce where he is pursuing this important position. “I’m talking about that,” said Tom Kioment, Chairman of the Board.
During Ciarrocchi’s tenure, the Chamber of Commerce became one of the leading voices of economic development not only in the Philadelphia region but throughout Pennsylvania. And, in collaboration with the Board, the annual Awards Celebration, held annually in November at Longwood Gardens, has grown into one of the region’s “must-see” events.
“Guy’s leadership has been fully demonstrated to our members and small business owners, employees and citizens throughout our county and state throughout the COVID era and during the successful #VoteYes campaign. “The next president, David Hackett, said. “Our board and staff are fully committed and plan to ensure that the Chamber of Commerce continues to provide its members with excellent service, engagement and programming during Guy’s vacation.”
Most recently, Ciarrocchi, Ciarrocchi, led the 2004 reelection campaign of former President George W. Bush in Pennsylvania, supporting efforts to impose restrictions on the governor’s authority under the Declaration of Emergency Disaster. This corresponded to the COVID-19 blockade limit set by Governor Tom Wolf.
