Grants available to improve the preservation of historically valuable records | Local

Harrisburg, PA-The Pennsylvania Historical Museum Committee (PHMC) and the Pennsylvania Historical Records Advisory Board (SHRAB) are currently accepting applications for the History and Archive Records Care (HARC) Grant Program. The application deadline is August 2nd.

The funds are available for historical record repositories such as: Library; University; Local Government; School District for Collection Care, including Surveys. Inventory; Preservation; Arrange; Describes important historical records for Pennsylvania, as well as record reformatting and equipment.

Individual grants will be funded up to $ 5,000 without the need for matches. The joint grant allows two organizations to jointly apply for up to $ 10,000, or three organizations to apply for up to $ 15,000 together. It does not have to match. Funding will be provided by PHMC.

The HARC program is designed to improve the preservation of historically valuable records.

Grants are awarded based on a competitive review of applications by the SHRAB Subcommittee.

Applicants must use the web-based electronic grant application process (eGrant).
