Governor Mifflin’s Jaria Pretz and Francesca Lisa finished second in the women’s wrestling state championship

Governor Mifflin’s Jaria Pretz and Francesca Lisa each finished second, while the other seven Berks wrestlers ranked in the top six at the My House Girls State Championship in Central Dauphin on Sunday.

Junior Plez won second place with 106. She lost to Easton’s Aubre Krazer 4-3 in the final.

Junior Lisa finished second with 235. She was pinned in 50 seconds by Xiyah Robinson in Pottstown in the final.

Third place was Emarkenich of 235-year-old Brandy Wine Heights.

Hamburg’s Shannon Governor was in fourth place with 118, and Governor Mifflin’s Genesis Durand Coronado was in fourth place with 190.

In fifth place was Isabella Wilkes of Hamburg with 106 and Berks Catholic’s Sasha Schaeffer with 235.

Finishing in 6th place were 112-year-old Wyomissing Lenny Harris and 106-year-old Exeta Morrill Benou.

Wilkes defeated Rubenou 5-2 in the 5th place match.
