Get medical advice from a doctor, not an expert

Editor:

Medical professionals have enough difficulty to fight the coronavirus pandemic. The last thing they need is to address the increasing number of people taking unproven medications to prevent COVID-19 infection.

The latest sad example is drug self-administration Ivermectin.. This was largely facilitated by the head of some discussions on the conservative media praising the use of ivermectin, based on the lack of reputable science at all. Reports from the State Toxic Control Center have shown increased ivermectin poisoning in humans who have taken the form of drugs specifically used for anthelmintic horses and cattle.

For humans, ivermectin is certainly a mysterious drug and has long been the gold standard for the treatment of tropical onchocerciasis (river blindness) and lymphatic filariasis (elephantiasis). These catastrophic diseases are caused by complex worms, not viruses.

Why is it harder for people to understand that during this viral pandemic it is best to get medical advice from a doctor than a celebrity who has no medical expertise and is only interested in TV evaluations. Is it?
