Two weekend shots reported on I-95 in Philadelphia – NBC10 Philadelphia

Police are investigating two shootings on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia over the weekend.

In both shootings, someone inside the car opened fire on another driver on the interstate, Pennsylvania police said. In the second of the two incidents, a man suffered a leg injury.

The PSP said the first shots were fired around 8:30 a.m. Saturday when a man, who was driving south with his girlfriend, attempted to change lanes. Between the Carrow Hill exits, a speeding white old model Dodge Durango nearly hit the man’s car, at which point the Dodge stopped next to the vehicle and both drivers argued back and forth.

The Dodge driver fired one shot and struck another vehicle before exiting onto Interstate 676 heading east, according to the PSP.

The second shooting occurred around 2:57 am on Sunday. In that instance, the driver and passenger were also traveling south on his I-95 with a group of acquaintances in another vehicle. As the driver was about to exit his 19th exit, a dark blue Honda sedan with tinted windows and a dark gray Ford his Explorer/Expedition with tinted windows crashed into the man’s car. He fired multiple times at him, the PSP said.

The man managed to get off the interstate and stop on Front Street near the intersection of Packer Avenue, state police said. He was shot three times in his lower leg and Thomas was taken to Jefferson University Hospital where he was in stable condition.
