Phillies bats struggle in Game 3, lose 2-1

It was a rough day for the Philadelphia bats as the Phillies dropped Game 3 to the Arizona Diamondbacks on the road, 2-1. After scoring 10 runs on Tuesday night, the Phillies lone run came on a wild pitch by Diamondbacks reliever Ryan Thompson that scored Bryce Harper in the 7th inning. The Diamondbacks would immediately respond in the bottom half of the same inning when Lourdes Gurriel Jr. sent an RBI double to left field, scoring pinch-runner Alek Thomas. The dagger would come on a walk-off single by Ketel Martel with the bases loaded to win the game for Arizona. The Phillies will have a 2-1 series lead in the National League Championship Series heading into Game 4, which will take place on Friday night at 8:07 p.m., E.T. on TBS.
