Philadelphia budget chief resigns, mayor names replacement – ​​NBC10 Philadelphia

On Tuesday, Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenny announced the resignation of the former director while appointing a new budget director for the city of Philadelphia.

Kenny named Sabrina Maynard, currently the Treasury’s chief of staff, as Philadelphia’s new budget chief. Her term begins on Monday, April 17, officials said.

“Being Chief of the Budget requires a comprehensive understanding of the city’s finances and operations. We are confident that we are now ready to move the work forward,” the mayor said in a statement.

Maynard will succeed Marisa Waxman, who is leaving the city government to join the U.S. Treasury Department, officials said.
