Governor Tom Wolf today announced an environmental education grant of $ 459,823 for 51 projects working on federal environmental justice, climate change and water quality.

In Erie County, the Regional Science Consortium will receive $ 20,000 to create an interactive wetland model for students from kindergarten to high school. This interactive model focuses on water quality and wetland function and value.

The Ellie School District receives $ 2,997 to set up two junior high school greenhouses for students to study outdoors. Outdoor classrooms focus on addressing the effects of climate change, environmental justice, and reduced access to local food.
