Duquesne University Accepted Student Day Helps The Hunger Project

Pittsburgh (KDKA)-Accepted by Duquesne University, on Sunday we packed meals for more than 600 students and their families in need areas.

This was the first year that The Hunger Project participated in Duquene’s Accepted Student Day.

Duquene is also the first university in Pennsylvania to participate in the Hunger Project.

“It’s a great experience for enrolled students because they can see what it’s like to be in Duquene and experience it first-hand with community members,” said Nick Refuge, Campus Experience Director. ..

Students and their families packed over 75,000 meal kits packed with ingredients to make jambalaya.
