John “Herm” Suplizio, 62, is accused of committing $620,815 in fraudulent transactions involving municipal and public accounts for the purpose of paying personal credit card bills, political contributions and gambling. .

Suplizio is presumed innocent until proven guilty, but the city council has placed him on leave.
