The Miami Dolphins added a new quarterback on Wednesday, but not everyone is talking about it.
Brian Flores said Wednesday that the Dolphins had signed the prominent Jake Dolegala and practice team in former Central Connecticut, which belonged to three other NFL organizations.
He will be the third quarterback of the team after Tua Tagovailoa and Jacoby Brissert. The move came after Miami lost former third-stringer Reid Sinnett to the Philadelphia Eagles, who claimed his waiver on Monday. After abandoning Cinette on Saturday, Dolphins wanted to be able to sign back to Cinette and return to the practice team to make room for the recipient’s Isaiah Ford’s active roster.
Dregala spent the 2019 season on a roster of 53 people in the Cincinnati Bengals after being undrafted. Since then, he has traveled back and forth between the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers practice team, each with two stints.
During his four-year career as a starter in Central Connecticut, Dregala threw 8,129 yards and 48 touchdowns.
The report swirls with dolphins and star Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.
“Tour is our quarterback,” Flores said Wednesday. “I said it many times.”
A new report on Wednesday also showed that the Carolina Panthers have withdrawn from Watson’s trade negotiations.
