Dolphins sign a new quarterback to practice their team.Plus Wednesday Injury Updates – Reading Eagle

The Miami Dolphins added a new quarterback on Wednesday, but not everyone is talking about it.

Brian Flores said Wednesday that the Dolphins had signed the prominent Jake Dolegala and practice team in former Central Connecticut, which belonged to three other NFL organizations.

He will be the third quarterback of the team after Tua Tagovailoa and Jacoby Brissert. The move came after Miami lost former third-stringer Reid Sinnett to the Philadelphia Eagles, who claimed his waiver on Monday. After abandoning Cinette on Saturday, Dolphins wanted to be able to sign back to Cinette and return to the practice team to make room for the recipient’s Isaiah Ford’s active roster.

Dregala spent the 2019 season on a roster of 53 people in the Cincinnati Bengals after being undrafted. Since then, he has traveled back and forth between the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers practice team, each with two stints.

During his four-year career as a starter in Central Connecticut, Dregala threw 8,129 yards and 48 touchdowns.

The report swirls with dolphins and star Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.

“Tour is our quarterback,” Flores said Wednesday. “I said it many times.”

A new report on Wednesday also showed that the Carolina Panthers have withdrawn from Watson’s trade negotiations.

The latest information on injuries

Three dolphins (wide receiver Devante Parker, center Greg Mann, cornerback Noai Gubinogen) who missed the defeat to the Falcons on Sunday started the team’s Wednesday walkthrough after saying Flores would join. It was sometimes seen.

The same is true for linebacker Jerome Baker. Jerome Baker left the match on Sunday with a knee injury and is characterized as “everyday.” Flores said Baker would be listed as a limited edition when reports of the injury were announced later Wednesday.

“It’s like solving an injury problem,” Flores said of Baker. “Hopefully he will be there for true practice on Thursday.”

Flores describes Parker as follows: “I hope I can practice a couple of days on Thursday and Friday. I’ll see if he can play in the match.”

Regarding Manchu and Igbinogen, Flores said: Again, today is a walkthrough. Both are walkthroughs, but they are getting better and going in the right direction. “

New addition

Flores also touched on the signature of former Miami Hurricanes Dolphins returning Duke Johnson to the practice team.

“Experienced players,” Flores said. “Good runners, good pass games. Became a productive player in the league.”

Both Johnson and Safety Sheldrick Red Wine, both UM graduates signed this week by Dolphin, were on Wednesday’s walkthrough. Red Wine, whose Jason McCorty signed a safe and active roster on the injured list, wore number 20. Johnson wore No. 28 and the new quarterback Dregala wore a No. 16 jersey.

Flores is active behind Miles Gaskin and Salbon Ahmed for a Sunday match at Buffalo Bills, with the team looking between Johnson and fellow practice team backers Gerid Dawks and Patrick Laird. He said he would decide if he could be promoted to a good roster.
