The woman killed in the fire at Shillington’s house was identified by a coroner’s office in Berks County.
Candy Lee Gray, 49, was murdered In the fire On Saturday at 38 Philadelphia Avenue, where she lived, officials said.
According to the coroner’s office, an autopsy performed at Reading Hospital on Tuesday found that smoke inhalation was her preliminary cause of death, but received full toxicological results and other studies. Later, a forensic pathologist will reach a decision. The method of death remains on hold until the autopsy report is received and the results of the state police fire marshal’s investigation are considered.

According to an emergency report, firefighters found Gray dead on the second floor after being able to enter the building.
She was sentenced to die at 10:07 pm, officials said.
No other details about the fire were available.
According to Berks County property records, the house is owned by William and Susanne Harley, but is rented and the owner is not resident, officials said.
