Crime Alert Berks County Gives Award

Crime Alert Berks County has three locals in front of a record crowd of over 200 attendees at the 2020/2021 Annual Awards Breakfast at DoubleTree by Hilton In Reading on Thursday. Honored the leader.

Retired Wyomissing Police Chief Jeffrey R. Beer received the Law Enforcement Award. Biehl has been with the Autonomous Region Police for 42 years and has been a member of Crime Alert since its establishment in 1998, serving as a liaison between the group and law enforcement agencies.

Mike Faust, the former host of WEEU-AM’s “Feedback”, received the Barry E. Rohrbach President’s Award. In the 20 years he hosted the program, he hosted many live broadcasts to disseminate information about crime alerts and raise funds for their efforts.

Ronald C. Dunkelberger Sr. received Crime Alert’s first Lifelong Service Award. He has been on the board of directors since its inception and has been Vice President and Chairman of the Compensation Committee for most of the year.

During breakfast, District Attorney John Adams of Burks County donated $ 15,000 from the Drug Forfeiture Fund to Crime Warning President Rick Periandi.

Separately, Crime Alert honored poster contest winner Emma Richards, 10, Governor Mifflin School District. Lucas Morris and Abesis in Wilson School District. The Mac scholarship was awarded to Evan Grimm in Hamburg. It goes to high school graduates planning to study criminal justice and law enforcement at college. He is the son of South Heidelberg Township Police Chief Leongrim and his wife Gloria.
