Washington (KDKA) – With the Christmas holidays this weekend, the demand for COVID-19 testing at home is increasing.
Earlier this week, the Biden administration announced that the federal government had purchased 500 million tests that could be accessed online and sent to your door.
When will they be available?
“Currently, the Pentagon and HHS are implementing so-called emergency emergency contracts,” said White House spokesman Jen Psaki. “This means that the first deliveries to the manufacturer will arrive in January, and we expect a complete timeline for all 500 million deliveries in the coming weeks.”
However, on Wednesday, some major retailers announced that they would put a limit on the number of home test kits that can be purchased in stores.
