Perkasie >> Council Rock High School North Marching Band competed for the first time in two years and won the No. 1 trophy in the category at the band’s cavalry competition at Pennridge High School in Perkasie on Saturday, October 9th.

Under the leadership of band director Wayne Bishop, the 59-member ensemble performed the 2021 show “Shattered”. The event marked the beginning of the competition season for bands competing on the Cavalcade of Bands circuit. The band will host four more competitions over the next four weeks, followed by a championship contest in Hershey, Pennsylvania, November 13-14.

In addition to participating in competitions, the CR North Marching Band will play home football games at high schools in Newtown, Pennsylvania, and travel to select away games. Before the CR North football team hosts Upper Dublin, the general public will be able to see the award-winning show “Shattered” at 11:30 am on Saturday, October 23rd.

Another chance to catch “Shattered” is Friday, October 29th, 6:30 pm. CR North Football will then face district rival CR South at Wolt Snyder Stadium. CR South’s award-winning marching band plays half-time. Game tickets are $ 5 and can be purchased at the gate.
