LEWISBURG — At the last thrilling moment of Thursday night’s meeting, inspirational efforts were needed to protect LaSalle from another Class 3A title.

North Penn won silver in 400 free, 155 points in the team to move up to 3rd place, LaSalle in 3rd place in the relay and 174 points in the state runner-up.

“Seneca Valley is an up-and-coming team. We knew they were our favorite participants, but we left everything we had at the table and made the state runner-up very much. I’m proud. “
Explorers got off to a strong start on Thursday with a 100-free (45.20) 4th place medal by Quinn Buck.
Aidan Schnapf won the 6th place medal with 100 backs (50.65).
“Our guys had a stable balance of talent, led by our seniors and captains, all year round,” said Danchesky.
Explorers added points to the comfort swim and headed for 400 free relays. Tim Grossi, Ryan Wadsworth, Cole Faikish and Buck hit 3: 05.95 in the stack heat. Seneca Valley is now 3: 05.37 and North Penn is now 3: 05.53.
