The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office has posted a $5,000 reward for the arrest of a man wanted for trafficking nine kilos of fentanyl through the Pittsburgh Greyhound station. Yancarlos Pichardo-Cepeda, 27, was released on non-monetary bond but hasn’t shown up to court this month. Pichardo-Cepeda was charged on Aug. 31. What is fentanyl

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is 50 times more potent than heroin and 100 times more potent than morphine. Just two milligrams of fentanyl – which is equal to 10-15 grains of table salt – is considered a lethal dose.
