WEST CHESTER — Over 15 homes, schools, businesses, nonprofits and places of worship bring together to create the world’s largest local tour as part of the 26th National Solar Tour of the nonprofit American Solar Energy Society (ASES) Did. The biggest grassroots solar event.

This tour will take you directly to virtually the thousands of clean energy homes in North America, significantly reducing your monthly energy bills, reducing harmful carbon emissions and increasing your asset value with a wealth of tax credits. And emphasize what you can do to enjoy cash incentives.

The Chester County virtual tour begins earlier this month and lasts until January 15, 2022. Introducing solar and other technologies adopted by locals through a 3-minute video “tour” of farms, homes, businesses, government buildings and chapels.

“The ASES National Solar Tour is an example of how neighbors can use the free energy from the sun to generate electricity to heat and cool homes, warm water, and reduce monthly utility bills. We’re showing it to the company, “said Nora Ziegler, coordinator of the local tour. “We called our tour the Chester County Clean Energy Tour because it shows an array of practical and economical solutions currently available here. We also own and rent buildings in Chester County. People get a glimpse of what different solar systems look like in and around structures of different architectural styles, from barns in the 1840s to LEED-certified buildings, “continues Ziegler.

In addition to homes, other tours focus on public buildings. The Township Building in West Bradford demonstrates the benefits of installing a geothermal heating and cooling system in a newly refurbished government facility. A tour of the Stroud Research Center is an exciting example of energy efficiency that offices and schools can implement, in addition to an excellent water management system. Wayne’s Central Baptist Church shares their multi-year plan to become a Net Zero congregation. The student-narrated Hillside Elementary Tour (Tredyffrin / Easttown School District) highlights the benefits of rooftop greening.

“The National Solar Tour attracted more than 150,000 people in 49 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico on the weekend kick-off. Participants attended the cost, process, economic and environmental aspects of solar power. Get a direct perspective on the benefits of homeowners and installers. Tour Details:
