Central Pennsylvania Humane Society treats dogs to Thanksgiving meal | WTAJ

ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — Furry friends Central PA Humane Society We were treated to a Thanksgiving meal courtesy of a family in Altoona.

Bill Sell has been making Thanksgiving treats for dogs at the shelter for seven years. This hearty and healthy meal is what he makes for his dog at his home.

This meal consists of brown rice, spinach, butternut squash, carrots, ground turkey, and ground beef. He made enough food for several dogs and cats at the shelter.

Shelter President Joe Zorna said the dogs at the shelter are looking forward to their holiday meals.

“As you may have noticed, it is unusually quiet here. The reason is that the animals are waiting for their morning feed. We are waiting for them to appear and feed us. The animals are on their best behavior and are patiently waiting for their breakfast,” Zorna said.
