CATA service to tackle labor shortage
Center County, Pennsylvania (WTAJ) – Center Area Transportation Bureauor CATA is still dealing with a staffing shortage that existed even before the pandemic.
A CATA representative said the shortage was largely due to many employees reaching retirement age, but the pandemic didn’t help.
To address this labor shortage, CATA is looking for new ways to reach potential employees and fill its 20 open positions.
Megan Ensor, Director of Human Resources at CATA, said: “So we’re trying a very unique approach, and we’re starting to host our own career event. At first glance, here at CATA, we’re actually going to host it on the third Wednesday of every month, starting in February.”
Ensor encourages all prospective applicants to Career section of the CATA website Or come to their job fair in person.
