Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band have announced a major world tour of 2023.
The legend of “Born To Run” and his iconic band will tour the arena across the United States in February and then host a stadium show in Europe in April.
In a statement, the boss said: “Six years later, I’m looking forward to meeting enthusiastic fans next year.
“And I’m looking forward to sharing the stage again with the legendary E Street Band. See you next year and beyond.”
The exact dates for the US arena show have not yet been confirmed, but the European leg will begin in Barcelona on April 28 and in other cities such as Dublin, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Oslo, Copenhagen and Munich. The stop has already been announced.
The location of the show in the UK and Belgium is said to be revealed at a later date.
In August 2023, the band will return to another North American tour.
This tour marks the first gig of the blues and E Street Band together since the end of the “River” tour in Australia in February 2017.
Since then, Springsteen has released their 2019 album “Western Stars” and 2020 “Letter To You”, returned to the “Springsteen on Broadway” show and launched the “Renegades: Borninthe USA” podcast with Barack Obama.
Tour interruptions are the longest record for the E Street Band since it was reformed in 1999.
They haven’t toured since the beginning of 2017, but the only performance in recent years took place when the group performed at “Saturday Night Live” in December 2020, with musicians Gary Talent and Susie. Triel missed it due to the limitation of COVID-19.
They were originally scheduled to hit the road in 2022, and there was also a show advertised in June at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt, Germany.
The official reason for the postponed date is not given.
