With Halloween just around the corner, the Boyertown Regional History Association recently held a broom-making workshop for witches in need of new brooms and those who want to add witch’s brooms to their Halloween decorations.
John Warren of Country Blooms in Gilbertsville and his wife Natalie recently taught how to make a witch’s broom at a workshop held at the Boyertown Area Senior High School building.
The workshop was enjoyed by everyone, and everyone flew home and shared the story of making brooms with family and friends. Well, everyone who can drive a stick is back!
Another workshop will be held on October 20th. Space is limited. To participate, please email the Historical Society at events @ boyertownhistory.org.
Broom master John has been making handmade brooms since the 70’s and selling them on his etsy site “country brooms”. He can be found at many craft shows throughout the region that sell handmade brooms, such as the Boyertown Regional History Association’s Bells Nickel Craft Show on Thanksgiving weekend.
Luang Zambanini is the secretary of the Boyertown Regional History Association.
