Police are warning residents to use caution after a bear was spotted roaming around parts of Montgomery County this week.
According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, the bear was first reported in Worcester Township and East Norriton Township.
Then the bear had been seen in Whitpain Township near the area of St. Helena Church Wednesday night and again Thursday morning in the area of Hoover Road and Perri Place, police said.
The last known sighting was Thursday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. in Plymouth Township after the bear was seen near the Plymouth Meeting Mall, according to police.

Pennsylvania Game Commission officials said it is not unusual for bears to roam at this time of year before hibernation.
Police ask if you see the bear call 911 immediately and do not attempt to approach the animal.
