When Lansdale celebrated its sporting heritage on Saturday as part of its 150th anniversary, Rain made an unwelcome guest appearance on Baseball Day. The weather caused the Hall of Fame games and some ceremonies to be canceled, but Phillie Phanatic and baseball veterans were entertained despite being submerged in the water. Brandy Wine Baseball Club and Elizabeth Resolute players entered the Memorial Park after a visit from Fanatic. “Old baseball in today’s Memorial Park was great. The rain really made it very interesting and fun,” said Councilor BJ Brysh, who posted some pictures of the town. “Friends of Lansdale Parks” Facebook page.
