GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona Cardinals receiver Marquise Brown was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with speeding.
Burt Graves, a spokesman for the Arizona Department of Safety, confirmed that Brown was arrested at 7:05 a.m. north of Phoenix and held at the Maricopa County Jail.
Other details were not immediately available.
Brown was acquired on a draft-day deal with the Baltimore Ravens and is expected to play a large role in Arizona’s offense, most notably three-time All-Pro DeAndre, who was suspended for violating league rules. policy on performance enhancers during the first six weeks when Hopkins is unavailable.
Brown caught 91 passes for 1,007 yards and scored six touchdowns last season for the Ravens. The receiver suffered a hamstring injury while training on his own in July, so he didn’t practice much during the training camp.
