A thief stabbed in the middle of a fight with the inhabitants, says the reading police

According to city police, a reading man was stabbed by a resident of an invading house.

At around 7:30 am on Sunday, police rushed to 1000 blocks on Locust Street to report possible shots and puncture wounds, according to a city hall press release.

Police said the investigation revealed that Marley Serra Seeley, 34, broke into the house and threatened the inhabitants with firearms.

Serra-Seeley and the resident were involved in the battle, ammunition was fired inside the house, and Serra-Seeley was stabbed in the neck.

Serra-Seeley escaped from the scene and was detained shortly afterwards with the help of Muhlenberg police and transferred to the Reading Hospital for treatment. Capture details were not available.

Residents whose identities were hidden by police were transferred to Reading Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

According to police, Serra-Seely was charged with robbery, trespassing of criminals, exacerbation of assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering others, and firearms.

He was waiting for the indictment on Monday night.
