Wellsville-based Tri-State Cinderella Project Hosts Fashion Show

EAST LIVERPOOL, OH (WKBN) — On Sunday, the girls modeled dozens of dresses in East Liverpool for good causes.

This is the first time that the Mikuni Cinderella Project will hold a fashion show. Dozens of girls modeled the dress, and Mrs. Ohio and Mrs. Pennsylvania were there.

Jennifer Harris is the founder and director of the project. She dresses in her shop and receives donations from her members of the community. Most of her dresses are under her $100.

“I came up with this idea because I wanted people to see this amazing dress,” said Harris.

The Tri-State Cinderella Project makes prom and homecoming dresses more accessible and affordable for girls who couldn’t go otherwise.

“There are girls crying because they thought, ‘I could never have worn a dress like this.’ “Sometimes people say, ‘I didn’t think I was going to the dance,’ because I didn’t have a dress.”

Mrs. Stephanie Broad, an American from Ohio, says she grew up without a lot of money and loves the chance to be a role model for girls.

“The girls in this community who grew up just like me have the opportunity to wear these stunning dresses and feel absolutely beautiful overnight.

Tri-State Cinderella is based in Wellsville and accepts girls by appointment.
